Build your ATA Carnet from gear you already scanned.

Shipping gear across borders means a carnet: every item listed with its value, weight, country of origin, and which case it's traveling in. Normally that's a week of spreadsheet misery.

In GearIO it's the inventory you already have. Pull in items or whole orders, drag them into travel cases, pick your currency, and export a numbered General List, continuous item numbers, case groupings, and totals, as a PDF or CSV. Missing values get flagged loudly before you file.

Questions from set

Do I need an account?

No. GearIO works fully on your device with no sign-up, scanning, photos, exports, everything. You only create an account when you want a project in the cloud (to sync devices or invite a crew).

Where does my data live?

By default, entirely on your device, nothing leaves it. If you publish a project to the cloud, that project's records and photos sync to our servers so your other devices and invited crew can see them. Unpublished projects never leave your phone.

Is it really not a subscription?

Really. A cloud project is a one-time purchase, $8 for Solo, $19 for Crew, and it stays synced for the life of the project. There's no monthly fee, no renewal, and no per-user charge.

Does it work with hardware barcode scanners?

Yes, any Bluetooth scanner that types like a keyboard (e.g. Inateck, Tera, NetumScan) works out of the box. The camera scanner is always there when you don't have one on you.

What if I'm somewhere with no signal?

GearIO is offline-first: it's a PWA you install on your phone, and every feature works without a connection. Cloud projects queue their changes and sync automatically when you're back online.

I'm not in the camera department, can I still use it?

Absolutely. GearIO was created for the camera department, but the workflow of tracking the status of gear between the rental house and your truck can apply to other departments as well. If your department signs for gear, this could work for you.
